We had a great trip with mom and dad over Labor Day weekend. Yes I know, that was almost a month ago. Here are a few photos. We had lots of fun.

Thomas and Grandma worked on these hats between the hiking, fishing, movie watching, quad riding and marshmallow toasting. They all got to pick their own colors.

Scott wore this hat all weekend...and then for several days once we got home. Its been unseasonably warm...but that didn't stop him.

We stopped on the way to Puffer Lake to hike around this meadow and reservoir.

We enjoyed jumping over the little streams as we hiked through the meadow. Unfortunately the children were wearing their new school shoes and didn't always jump all the way across. Oh well, guess that is part of being a kid...wet shoes. And part of being parents of kids...watching them wear out shoes almost as fast as they grow out of them.

Scott enjoyed pushing the wheel barrow all over the property. He had so much fun I don't think he realized that he could have put something in there.

Emily had a great time introducing Haley to everything that camping has to offer. Its nice that they are getting old enough so that we don't have to worry about them so much.

Bryce celebrated his 9th birthday a few days early. He was excited to get his first pocket knife. As you can imagine, he found lots of uses for it in the mountain. Let me put it this way, we had no shortage of sharpened sticks.
